Members living and working in Jakarta arranged a get-together on Friday April 28, 2006. As one of our senior members said:
It was really a great event and I thank one and all who participated in it. It reminded me of one of those rare events of JBEI get together we had in Bangalore during Loge’s and Richard Elliot’s tenure.
I think John Brown Bangalore has become a synonym with Oil and Gas Upstream Industry and the personnel coming out of it and working worldwide have not only enriched themselves, but also created a good niche for Indian engineers everywhere. It is a great contribution. Let us not forget all those who trained us to make this happen.
Special thanks to JK and CVS for taking initiative to hold this maiden event.

Thanks to all the volunteers and attendees for making this happen.
Update: Thanks to JK for uploading pictures. They are now here.

Its nice to hear that all XJBEI had a great evening and have great fun.
Thanks to Chetan for his great efforts for making us all talk to each other on a daily basis through XJBEI site.
Lets plan International XJBEI Event 2007 in Singapore / Bangkok / Malaysia.
Hey Guys,
I miss you all folks and such get togethers. Do share some pictures with us.
I still remember how JBEI started like a trickle in 1991. Looks like, X-JBEI -all fun- is more exciting than JBEI -all work. And SE Asia has become the hub of X-JBEI. Doesn’t matter where it is, since technology provides such close connectivity and X-JBEI oganisers are making the most of it.
Long Live X-JBEI

Pictures are now added to this page. More here.
Nice to see you including some of my ex-colleagues in Instrumentation (Sivakumar, Gnanesh, ….). This also brings me old memories of Jakarta (I was with P.T.Polysindo, Karawang, Indonesia few years back).

I was delighted to hear that my former colleagues and friends remember their time in the Bangalore Office with affection and pride.
Much has happened to me since I left India in early 2000, but my wife and family retain fond memories of our time in Bangalore, where we were made most welcome by you and your families. We are planning to return to India somer time in the next year to renew old acquaintences and to see how much the place has changed since we left. For those of you in Bangalore, please send me your contact details so we can perhaps get together when we come over there.
It sounds like XJBEI has a wide spread, with people located throughout Asia and the middle East.
Since leaving India, I have spent periods in China, Russia and South Africa, but am presently back in in the Paddington Office where John Brown started. since the most recent purchase of the company by CB&I, our workload has grown dramatically, and we are constantly seeking experienced engineers for projects worldwide. In the next few days I will be posting details of the opportunities available on this site, for you each to review and respond to should you so wish. I look forward to speaking and interacting to each of you at some time in the future.
With Warm Regards to all my Friends and former colleagues – lets hope we can meet up and perhaps even work together again soon
